SRK Snatches “Biggest Tax Payer” Title from Big B
Shahrukh Khan has gone one up on Bollywood superstar Big B by claiming the biggest taxpayer title by a huge margin. SRK simply “zipped” ahead of the until-now-biggie paying Rs.12 crores to the IT Department. If you are wondering how much that is in USD, well it is almost $3 million – a colossal amount by Indian standards. Big B came in a poor second paying “just” Rs.6 crores – not a small amount by any stretch of imagination! Hrithik Roshan claimed third spot paying Rs.3.3 crores, while Aamir Khan paid Rs.3 crores despite giving two hits in a row. The results might appear skewed because SRK had just two movies against Big B’s eight. Where SRK could have scored higher was through Paheli, which was his home production, and the Temptations world tour conducted by his company, besides endorsements which both have aplenty.
