KANK a Run Away Hit in UK, USA?
To Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (KANK) goes the credit of posting the biggest weekend opening in Bollywood movie history abroad. The weekend opening has produced a neat £754,877 in UK overtaking the Veer Zaara collection of £468,205. Incidentally, both the movies star Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta. The third all time great weekend opening collection of £411,536 stands in the name of another Shah Rukh Khan multistarrer Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (K3G). SRK is proving to be an outstanding crowd puller. KANK has gone on and broken another record - this time in the US. Its $1,400,000 weekend opening collection beats the previous best by K3G that had managed to collect $1,047,403. In comparison Krrish, the highest Bollywood earner this year, had a weekend opening collection of £207,666, while Aamir Khan starrer Fanaa managed a £301,573 opening.
