Hrithik Appeals to Young Fans Not to Emulate His Stunts

Hrithik Roshan has captured the imagination of the younger fans like no other super-hero has before him. Such has been the influence of Krissh on the young minds that reports about fans trying his onscreen death-defying stunts is disturbing the Bollywood star no end.

HrithikHrithik has made an appeal asking them not to emulate him in the movie. According to the superstar, those stunt scenes are fraught with danger, and were performed under expert guidance and close supervision after putting in place adequate safety measures. The superhero had undergone extensive training, both physical and mental, before shooting those scenes.

The result onscreen may look so natural, but there is a lot of technique and trickery involved behind the scenes. The performer is well secured with cables, as he appears onscreen to be swinging from one tree to another or a building to another. All the supporting equipment like cables and so on are later removed at the editing table with the help of computer software.

Hrithik expresses his thanks to the way his young fans have received the film. Krissh is a fantasy film meant to be enjoyed, not re-enacted. Hrithik burnt some of his hair during the circus fire sequence, which fortunately grew back before the next schedule. Similarly, Hrithik almost had a serious accident when the cable from which he was dangling midair snapped. Luckily, he landed on a soft canopy that was pulled out, since it was a rainy day. That broke his fall, and Hrithik survived what could have been a ghastly accident.

This happened in spite of all the precautions that were taken during the shooting. So, kids and young teens, it is best to leave these stunts to the experts. Just sit back and fantasize, if you so desire, but don’t put them to practice.

[…] No, it’s not any mysterious illness that Sunny Deol is suffering from. Bollywood super-action hero Sunny is planning a sequel to Ghayal with K.Sera Sera. With remakes triggered by Phir Hera Pheri, Krrish, and Lage Raho Munna Bhai, sequel fever seems to be in the air. The original Ghayal was directed by debutant Raj Kumar Santoshi, which was a super hit. Ghayal II, however, will have a new scriptwriter and director in Tigmanshu Dhulia, Santoshi’s close confidant. The proposed sequel is at the scriptwriting stage and will feature Sunny as the protagonist and Om Puri, who was an honest cop in the original. They are the only two faces from the original made sixteen years ago in 1990. Only time will tell whether the not-so-young Sunny will be able to recreate the magic of old. […]

  2. Hrithik and Ash in Jodha Akbar - Bollywood Instyle - Bollywood music, movie, star, song and news blog. Says:

[…] Hrithik and Ash are to pair for the first time in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Bollywood flick Jodha Akbar. The film will be produced by Ronnie Screwvala at an estimated cost of Rs.37 crore. Gowarikar had been working on the film since 2001, while he was making Swades. Jodha Akbar had to be planned on a larger scale with huge sets, and a well-researched story. Besides historical facts, this movie will depict the hitherto hidden romantic aspect of the Jodha Bai-Akbar relationship. This love story goes a generation back in relation to the famous Jehangir-Anarkali romance in Mughal-e-Azam. With the lyrics penned down by Javed Akhtar, and the music by maestro AR Rehman, the songs are expected to take us back to a period where art, and song and dance thrived.  […]
